Republic of Doyle stars St. Johns, NL
The CBC hit series is now airing its third season with even more star power. Russell Crowe guest starred in the season opener which saw the return of Allan Doyle of Great Big Sea & other actors of Robin Hood’s Merry Men.
Actor Allan Hawco playing private detective Jake Doyle, continues to wow audiences with an action packed comedic portrayal of crime fighting in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
The show is shot during the summer and fall months, and uses the colourful houses of downtown St. John’s as the backdrop for many of its plotlines. Visit this summer and you may just see Jake strolling down Water Street.
